Apr–Bridget Jones Diary by Helen Fielding–Written in the form of a personal diary, the novel chronicles a year in the life of Bridget Jones, a thirty-something single working woman living in London. She writes about her career, self-image, vices, family, friends, and romantic relationships.

May–A Few Red Drops by Claire Hartfield–Author Claire Hartfield will visit the Westchester Public Library and discuss her book A Few Red Drops, the story of the 1919 race riots in Chicago sparked when an angry white man throwing stones at young black men swimming in Lake Michigan.  The young men were too close to the “white” beach; one was hit by a stone and killed.  The days that followed rocked Chicago.

June–Marbles by Ellen Forney–Shortly before her thirteenth birthday author Ellen Forney was diagnosed as bipolar.  She struggled for years to overcome this disorder and maintain her creativity.  Forney learns of many other artists who struggle with the same mood disorder and interweaves those stories into her book.  What does Ellen find out about the mystery of attempting to “cure” such brilliant minds?
